Sharpen Your Own Skates Professionally with the Sharp Master
The Sharp Master is a patented precision sharpening tool for ice skates that allows you to sharpen your skates easily and exactly at right angles. Now, anyone can sharpen ice skates fast, accurately and easily. Deburring is as simple as pressing the two deburring plates against the blade and dragging the tool from the front of the blade to the back with one movement.

Sharpening skates anywhere and anytime (or making fast repairs!)
Because of its compact design and low weight (as little as 6.88 oz, including grinding plate), the Sharp Master is ideal for carrying in your pocket at competitions. Should a calamity occur during warm-up as a result of dirt on the ice, it can be remedied quickly before the competition starts.

Sharpening skates with great precision
The Sharp Master makes it possible to sharpen blades with much greater precision and exactly at right angles. Have a look at these much enlarged photos and see the difference between the traditional way of sharpening skates and sharpening with the Sharp Master. You will be amazed!

How does it work?
By means of a special technique, the skate blade is clenched squarely, so that the sliding surface is pressed against the diamond grinding plate within the Sharp Master exactly at right angles. The front part of the Sharp Master contains two spring-operated diamond disks which can be pressed towards each other to deburr the blade in one stroke. The grinding plates are easy to replace and are available in 4 different grit sizes: coarse, standard, fine and extra fine.

Durable
The Sharp Master casing consists of 3 reinforced shock resistant and durable plastic parts. All other parts are made from stainless steel.

Which grinding plates should I order with the Sharp Master?

With the Sharp Master, you have a choice of four different, diamand-coated grinding plates: coarse (black), standard (blue), fine (red) and extra fine (green). You can conveniently order up to two pieces of each colour along with your Sharp Master. If you’d like to order more than two grinding plates of one colour, you can also order them separately.

For the average recreational skater, we recommend the standard grit (blue) grinding plate, complemented with the fine (red) grinding plate. The extra fine (green) grinding plate is a favourite of speed skaters who strive to achieve maximum results by making their skates glide even better by means of extra fine sharpening. The coarse (black) plate is suitable for rough grinding very dull skates or slightly damaged blades; the standard blue plate and possibly the finer red and green plates can be used for finishing afterwards.

Grinding plates can also be ordered separately from this website. For customers abroad we recommend to purchase one or two extra grinding plates as shipping costs from The Netherlands to foreign destinations are unfortunately relatively high.
